My garden

Earlier in the year The Garden,
I planted a garden. This garden is not just my garden.
My grandson helped me plant it. I did not think it would do much. I really did not have a lot of hope for its survival. First of all it was full of grass. When R. tilled the garden he left big piles of grass turned over.
Yes he tilled the grass up and left it in the ground in hunks. That’s a Yankee for you. Yes I said it he is a Yankee. He’s a born New Yorker. He’s not real smart on some things but he was real pretty when we met. (LOL) Hummm, back on the subject of the garden. It had a lot of grass I it and I am just getting it under control. And then the flood came. Woooo Hooo just my luck. I thought this was it. The garden is gone. It had to be. But it hung in there all but the cucumbers. They were not strong enough to hang on. The flood took them straight out of the ground. So when the ground dried and things were cleaned up and back to normal we planted more cucumbers. “Whala” they popped there little sprouts out the other day and today they are stretching their little leaves up. I also bought some broccoli plants. As you will see in the pictures my broccoli plants turned out to be cabbage. Ha, ha, ha,he,he,he. That is just too funny to me. But that’s ok because I love cabbage. As I said before it took me a long time to get all of the grass out. But I did it and its doing great. I have to say the garden is doing pretty good to be grown by a Yankee & a Florida cracker.
