Honey do

This story is called honey do.
A friend of ours came into town today and attempted to stop at the local bank.
It was around 3:30pm, after sitting out side of the bank for about 10 minutes.
He called the house and asks if the bank went out of business?
I said not that I know of. And that’s when it dawned on me today was Thursday.
You see in our town Thursday is honey do day.
Many years ago we had a mayor whom thought Thursday should be declared honey do day.
That is the day every business in our town closes at noon.
This way the men in our town can go home and take care of the list of things his spouse needs
him to do. They named that list honey do. Because they said there wife’s kept saying, honey do
This and honey do that. Even though that mayor has long since passed on, our town still keeps that
Tradition. Well our friend that was visiting said that was the craziest thing he had ever heard of. So
Lady’s in keeping in this tradition I think all towns should have an official honey do day!
One day out of each week that our husbands should have to do what we tell them to do.
