Update on Bethesda Navel Hospital

Recently I told everyone I was going to the Bethesda Naval Hospital.
To be seen by a group of surgeons. My reason for being sent to Bethesda was because this hospital has the best doctors in the United States. I have seen 4 other surgeons not counting the surgeon who operated on me 2 years ago. She released me from her care 8 months after she operated on my foot for a collapsed arch. I came out of surgery in severe pain and it has never stopped hurting. She had to cut the cast off of my foot 2 days after surgery because of blood clots. And from there everything went downhill from there. To make a long story short, I have severe bone damage and complete nerve damage of the foot and ankle. My trip to the Bethesda Naval Hospital to have my foot checked and find a way to Fix the problems in my foot. Well, things don’t always work out as we hope. The surgeons I seen explained to me that there’s not a lot thy can do for me. They explained to me that they would have a fitted brace made for me to straighten the foot. I will have to wear it for 3-6 months. At this time I will have to go back to see them so they can evaluate me for further treatment. They can try to do bone grafts by taking bone from my hip. But they don’t believe it will work. Due to the extent of the bone damaged. And they said the nerve damage will continue to spread. I have been told at this point we are looking at amputation of the foot above the ankle. Needles s to say I have been doing a lot of praying.
