I am a soldiers wife:
I am a soldiers wife: I married him knowing, I would never get rich. I have spent many holidays alone while he was away. I serve my country along side him.My life expectancy is shorter than yours because of the stress. But yet you think my life is easy. Because I have learned to be strong in the face of others. Friends were never a permanent part of our life. Time and distance found a way to desperate this. I had to be mother and father to our children & sometimes worked 2 jobs to help with the bills. I have watched my solder work harder and put in more hours then anyone should have to work. For very little pay. And some how the Government still can't see that our military never has or never will get the pay they should receive. i fly my flag just as high as the government. But I don't make others hoist it for me.We are the glue that no one see's that holds it all together. The one's who know how to juggle the bills so they can all get payment.A military wife can make a great meal out of nothing and still hold our heads high because we made it through another day. I just want to ask you in congress to live a year or even a month off of what our solders get paid. And you work the jobs they do. and better yet, Let me see your wive's do as much as we do with what we have had to live with.and make a meal out of almost nothing at all. and do your own house work too.
